CAN I REGISTER THE DAY OF THE RACE?

Yes! (read Parking Instructions below). Same day registration will be occurring in the Winery just before the race between 7 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. Recognize that you will be provided a temprary pass to enter the restricted area, and after you park it is a short walk to the winery for registration. You may also personally register at the Winery on Thursday or Friday prior to the run.

What about starting area position posts?

Faster runners should position themselves closer to the starting gate. If you are a walker or walking your dog, position yourself near the back of the pack. Please make a proper judgment of your time.

What type of awards will be given?

Open Category: Top 3 finishers Male & Female
Age 55 & Up: Top finisher Male & Female
Kid’s Race: Top 3 finishers Male & Female
In addition, each runner will receive a commemorative finishing medal.

Can I bring my dog?

Dog walkers are welcome to participate. These should be near the back of the pack for when the starting gun goes off. There is no fee for a dog on a leash. Recognize that half the course is not on asphalt, so pushing a baby stroller is discouraged..

WHAT ARE THE PARKING INSTRUCTIONS?

We have changed our parking arrangements such that everyone can park at the winery. Road closures will begin at 7 a.m. with only authorized vehicles being allowed to enter the restricted area. ALL RUNNERS, VOLUNTEERS, EMERGENCY VEHICLES, AND SPECIALLY ASSIGNED PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ALLOWED PAST THIS CHECKPOINT. You will be emailed a dashboard pass to show the “gate keeper” to allow you to enter. In the absence of this pass, our volunteer will have a list of signed participants. There is no restriction on the number of people in a car that has a pass; cheerleaders and supporters are welcome! IF YOU ARE REGISTERING THE DAY OF THE RACE, our volunteer will sign you in and notify the winery of a pending entry; a temporary pass will allow you to enter.

The only entrance into the area will be New Design Road, via Route 31 / Rolfe Highway; there is no entrance via the Runnymede side.

What’s the schedule for road reopenings?

Once the race is completed, New Design Road and Runnymede will reopen. Expect Runnymede to reopen first, followed by New Design Road after the last runner/walker finishes. We are guessing Runnymede will be closed from 8:15 a.m. till 9:15 a.m., while New Design Road will be closed from 7 a.m. till 10:30 a.m.

Will there be water stations?

Yes, there will be water stations along the route at roughly one mile intervals.

What if it rains?

This is a rain-or-shine event. There are no refunds. No-shows will have 100% of their entry fee donated to our charity partner.

Are volunteers needed?

Yes, volunteers will be needed at the Winery and along the course. If you’d like to volunteer, click the link below and provide us with your information. We need volunteers at the 5 water stations, at the Winery for packet pick-up, at the Runner’s tents, and setting up the course the day before (or early Saturday). Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and a glass with a free pour.
